The main game can still be played offline after the online service ends.
Takes place at a US facility in Cuba 9 years ago of the "METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN".
The boy "Chico" had been captured in there, "Snake" embarks on a covert mission to reclaim "Chico" from Cuba.
Little did "Snake" know that this decision would set in motion a series of tragic events that would forever change his fate.
